Project Description:

The Miami International Airport Concourse E Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Upgrades was a life safety project at the three levels of the entire Concourse E mandated by the terminal Life Safety master Plan. The project was to expand the fire protection sprinkler system and the fire alarm system in the first, second and third levels of the concourse E to obtain 100% life safety coverage.   The work consisted of demolition of the ceilings, walls, concrete floors and the old mechanical and electrical life safety network. The installation of new mechanical sprinkler piping networks, installation of new sprinkler systems, eliminating the redundant and old Fire Alarm zones, installation of conduits, wiring and new Fire Alarm systems, build a new Electrical control room, Demolition and removal of a 750 GPM fire pump, Installation of a new 2000 GPM fire pump and all associated underground utility lines and backflow preventers. Rebuild all new walls, concrete floors, ceilings, paint and finishes.
